Kára suffers from choosing her Nohrian family over her blood family of Hoshido. She always tries to avoid taking any more Hoshidan lives and spares as many as possible, yet remembers every face she has watched grimacing in pain after having cut them down and is haunted by them in her sleep.

All in all she is a kind woman who seeks peace for her family above all else. She is nice to strangers and even a little too naive for her own good, yet has lost her ability to forgive so easily due to her heart being broken constantly.

She finds it difficult to accept the help of others as she thrives to prove herself and her own capabilities. Partly in order to survive Garon, too.

Due to the blood of Anankos in her veins she bears a great hunger for knowledge and aims to achieve wisdom. Reading books of every kind of genre in her free time is her favorite activity.

Her sword Skofnung has been enchanted to never lose its edge and always remain as sharp as if it was its first cut.

Her retainer, Valentino, used to be a mercenary who had been very unfortunate to stumble into a battle and be mistaken as a Hoshidan soldier. After his capture he was supposed to be executed, but Kára, upon seeing the terrible scene, interrupted the execution and appointed the prisoner her retainer to save him from his grim fate.
